Suomi,Raha, Kiva, and other Finnish words

So there it was! A great event in the history of the Finnish TZM Chapter. On the 5th of November right at the Guy Fawkes day the Finnish chapter organised a big event filled with presentations. I was able to participate there both as a speaker and as a cameraman getting footage for the European Way project.

Thanks to the Finnish Chapter we were able to deploy 3 cameras (all of which I was operating myself basically hehehe) and that gave us the possibility to grab a pretty decent footage for editing later on I guess.

The presentations seemed really interesting... I couldn't say as I know only a handful words in Finnish hehe, but all the guests I talked with were happy that they participated so I guess it was a huge success!

On one hand I am happy that I was able to come here and witness another well organised TZM Project that helps spread the understanding of our todays problems and of the possible solutions. I wish we could establish a network within the Zeitgeist Movement, and other such groups likewise, to enable more and more people like me and Paulina to pay a visit to a neighboring Chapter to learn and experience! Additionally if they could grab a camcoder with them as we did in the summer and as I did just now they could easily add-up to our or similar independent movie projects that will all help to promote the ideas!

On the other hand I really regret that I cannot participate fully in these events (due to the language barrier as it was here in Finland, or due to a very limited time that we had during our travels in the summer). I strongly believe that one of the most important keys (a key key if you will hehe) if we want TZM to succeed is to help as many Zeitgeist supporters to meet and befriend as many Zeitgeist supporters as possible ^_=

We have managed to do a total of 6 (or 7 hehe) interviews with various cool people from the movement and from the Occupy movement too. This will surely be useful during the creation of the movie!

Stay tuned!

Jasiek

P.S. If any other European country that we have skipped so far is interested in joining the project please contact us via email (in the Contact section) or otherwise. We will try to find the best way to get the footage from your country/local Chapter needed for the documentary.

The Missing Tapes project Part #01

Hello there folks!

We've started what I call "The Missing Tapes" project which is basically our attempt to get the footage that was and is supposed to be included in the film but that, by one way or another, didn't get recorded. The first part of this side project is what I am doing right now. I'm in Finland in Turku with some of the Zeitgeist friends that we've met at the end of our 2-month tour during the summer. I came here to record the interviews that we were supposed to record back then but due to our complete and utter exhaustion we did not record. What is more, I am here to take part in the Finnish national TZM meeting in Helsinki and also to make a video record of that to be later inserted in part into the final documentary film we are working on.

Hopefully we'll be also able to pay a visit to all the countries that we were forced to skip during the summer like Portugal, Greece, England, Ireland and a lot of other European countries. It has proven to be quite difficult as breaking away from our daily duties back in Poland and finding the funds for the travel (with this present trip to Finland we were extremely lucky as we found a really cheap flight and, what is more the Finnish TZM supporters helped us out with travel costs! Kiitos!!). Nevertheless, we still keep it on our radar and whenever an opportunity to go to any of the "missing" countries arises we will definetly try to exploit it ;o)

In the meantime however I'm going to do my best to get all the best fotage from Finland as I can so... The European Way Project is still operational and in development!! =o))

Cheeers!

New Phase begins!

So... there has been almost no activity here on the project's site.

We have to confess that it was because of us. After the whole trip and problems with the computer we took a little break from all this, to catch breath and to "reinstall" ourselves in the every-day reality of our city.

Soon after that we got involved in doing the CPR to our local Polish TZM Chapter by organising a national real life meeting and introducing a big set of changes based on what we have learned along out visits to other chapters. That's by andf gone now and despite we have a lot of work right now implementing the changes in the Polish Chapter I think it's time for us to get back to the European Way project and stard working on the film.

For the several days now I've been resizng all the interviews we've had. I'm doing this to be able to send them out to all the visited chapters to their LingTeams so that they can get to work and provide us with the translations we need in order edit them into the movie.

If you are a member of one of the visited chapters you can write us asking about that. Nevertheless, Iwill be trying to reach all of you to establish the most optimal way to share these and translate the resized video interviews. So stay sharp and stay tuned for the new phase is beginning right now!

The real evaluation will have to wait a bit

Hello Folks! Greetings from "Home-Base" ;o)P

We have come here yesterday in the evening. Oh what a strange feeling that was ;o)

We were immediately approached by our friends who helped us to carry our things and than kept us company until very late (surprisingly we managed although we were sure we will be too sleepy and tired to do anything constructive that day XoD)

BTW, that a funny thing that was that while we were coming back, right after we crossed the Polish border our bus was stopped for passport control (and we supposedly live in a border free zone, EU hehehe) I had an argument with customs officer who tried to persuade me that I have no right to film him, while I was trying to explain to him that it's quite the contrary ;o)P What is more the first day in our city we have already troubled by the Police for a beer in a public place (a beer that wasn't even ours BTW hehe.

Soooo... Home Sweet Home XoD

As far as some real evaluation of the trip you will have to be a bit more patient because due to the unforseen events (the break down of my computer) I am a little bit crippled information wise and cannot do it the proper way. Still, I'd like to thank everyone who participated in this project already from the bottom of my heart and tell them something very very important: .... get your arses to work! You have interviews to translate XoDD hihihihi

Stay tuned! The trip is over but the project is far from it ^_=

What a dramatic "twist" at the end of the story...

So it's official now... Sadly, I was deprived of all my communicational equipment. My mobile phone broke down on our way to Turku, Finland and doesn't seem to be willing to repair itself and now just hours before leaving for Poland my computer broke down for unknown reasons.

F**k. I hope it's nothing serious 'cuz if not than the start of the editing process may become postponed until some unknown future =o/

Keep your fingers crossed Friends both for our safe journey back home and for the well being of my broken computer ;oP

...and stay tuned of course!

J.
